Indalo Wiltshire Golf Club of Skukuza (Skukuza Golf Club) is seeking a skilled and reliable Greenkeeper to support the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course. The successful candidate will work closely with the Course Superintendent to ensure the course is maintained to high standards of playability, presentation, and safety.
This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, including turf care, irrigation systems, and machinery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily maintenance of the golf course
- Maintain turf quality, irrigation systems, and landscaping standards
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and equipment
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Support the Course Superintendent with course preparation and improvements
- Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment and materials
- Perform basic mechanical checks and troubleshooting where required
- Maintain cleanliness and order of maintenance areas
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Turf Management, Horticulture, or related field
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or groundskeeping
- Basic understanding of: Turf care practices, Irrigation systems, Machinery and equipment operations and Proven experience in mechanical or equipment maintenance (advantageous)
Desirable Requirements
- Certification or vocational training in mechanics, engineering, or related field
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- High attention to detail and quality standards
Pay: R18 000,00 – R25 000,00 per month
