Part-Time Graphic Designer | Fika

As our Part-Time Graphic Designer, you will be a key visual part of our brand. You will help maintain and bring new ideas and elements, ensuring our visual language reflects our mission of connection, movement, and community. We aren’t just looking for someone to "make things look pretty." We need a creative person who understands the heart of the nonprofit world. As Fika continues to evolve, you will be the engine behind our visual storytelling, turning complex global infrastructure projects into inspiring visuals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Brand: Update and refresh all existing website elements, icons, and UI components to align with the new brand guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity (typography, color, and logo usage).
  • Templates: Audit and refresh all legacy templates (pitch decks, impact reports, and internal documents).
  • Build a library of Microsoft/Canva/Affinity templates for non-design staff to ensure brand consistency globally.
  • Strategic Collateral: Design high-quality print materials: brochures, posters, and postcards for evets and partners.
  • Translate complex field data into compelling infographic designs that prove the impact of our infrastructure.
  • Digital & Social Design: Create weekly social media assets that prioritize storytelling.
  • Create simple, high-engagement motion graphics, reels, and videos as needed.
  • Design layouts for email newsletters and digital campaigns.

Key Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Canva, Affinity Suite, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Mastery in video editing and motion graphics using platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Canva Video to create high-energy Reels and social content.
  • Design Sensibility: A strong portfolio showcasing clean layouts, sophisticated typography, and the ability to make "technical" data look "human."
  • Creative Initiative: You don't just wait for a brief; you suggest new ways to visualize our impact and improve our brand presence.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage a part-time workflow while meeting deadlines for a global organization.
