We are looking for an organized, energetic Dispatcher who brings a personable approach to customer care and loves a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview: As our Service Dispatcher, you are the central hub of our daily operations. Operating out of our Northville office, you will handle everything from the initial customer call to scheduling, part ordering, and billing. You will maximize profitability by strategically matching the right technician to the right job based on their unique skill level and production availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Care: Answer incoming calls with a warm, personable, and professional attitude.
- Smart Dispatching: Schedule and route technicians based on their specific skill level and production capacity.
- Estimates & Booking: Provide accurate preliminary work estimates to customers and book service appointments.
- Billing & Payments: Process customer payments over the phone and manage accurate invoice billing.
- Parts Procurement: Source and order necessary parts and equipment for upcoming system installations.
- Software Management: Utilize digital dispatch software to track jobs, update records, and monitor field schedules in real-time.
Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with heating, cooling, and plumbing systems is helpful, but not required—we will train the right person!
- Customer Service: Proven track record of providing premium, friendly customer support.
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to quickly learn and comfortably navigate specialized dispatch and scheduling software.
- Multitasking: Strong organizational skills to manage calls, parts ordering, and technician schedules simultaneously.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance for a standard Monday through Friday work week.
