As a Business Development Manager for Google Cloud, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and expand the adoption of Google Cloud products and services across Africa. You will work cross-functionally to create and execute go-to-market strategies, engage with potential clients, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis: Research and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.

Opportunity Identification: Proactively seek out new business opportunities and potential clients for Google Cloud solutions.

Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.

Solution Evangelism: Present Google Cloud products and services to prospective clients, highlighting business value and technical advantages.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions for clients.

Sales Enablement: Support sales teams with insights, training, and resources to drive successful engagements.

Pipeline Management: Maintain and report on a robust pipeline of business opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field – Essential

Advanced degree or certification in Cloud Technologies – Desirable

Experience

3+ years in business development or sales in cloud solutions – Essential

3+ years’ Experience with Google Cloud or similar platforms – Desirable

Knowledge Areas

Deep understanding of cloud computing and Google Cloud offerings – Essential

Strong business acumen and market analysis skills – Essential

Knowledge of partner ecosystems and channel sales – Essential
