Lead Geotechnical Driller
Responsibilities
- Operate geotechnical drilling equipment for soil borings and related field testing.
- Lead a two person drilling crew with a helper.
- Set up, operate, and maintain drill rigs and field equipment.
- Collect soil samples and maintain accurate field records.
- Follow safety procedures and keep equipment clean and organized.
- Communicate with project managers and office staff regarding job progress.
Requirements
- Prior geotechnical drilling experience required.
- Ability to operate a drill rig safely and independently.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift, work outdoors, and handle field conditions.
- Dependable, safety minded, and able to work well with a helper.
Preferred Experience
- Simco drill rig experience.
- Little Beaver drill rig experience.
- Experience with soil sampling, borings, and geotechnical field work.
About the Position
We are looking for one lead driller who can take ownership of the drilling side of our geotechnical work. This is a steady opportunity with room for summer overtime and growth for the right person.
