General Manager
Location: Grabouw, Western Cape
We are looking for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys being part of an active outdoor community, and has the drive to take our Food & Beverage offering to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, restaurant, and guest facilities.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure consistently high standards.
- Drive the growth and profitability of the Food & Beverage department.
- Develop and implement initiatives to increase restaurant patronage from both hotel guests and the local community.
- Manage budgets, stock control, purchasing, and cost management.
- Build relationships with local businesses, cycling clubs, event organisers, and tourism partners.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
- Identify opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager, or senior hospitality management role.
- Strong Food & Beverage management experience with a proven ability to increase restaurant revenue.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
- Experience in hotel operations and guest experience management.
- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-driven.
- Comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and peak hospitality periods.
- A valid driver’s licence.
Preferred
- A genuine passion for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, trail running, hiking, or similar adventure sports.
- Experience in boutique hotels, lodges, lifestyle hospitality, or destination properties.
- Experience in marketing events, group bookings, or hospitality sales.
