General Foreman
Our client is a well-established Construction Company operating in the built environment.
They are currently are currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for site set-up and layout
Manage and meet project budgets
Supervise on-site staff and sub-contractors
Ensure compliance with occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements
Procure materials and equipment efficiently
Ensure project timelines and milestones are met
Minimum Requirements:
NQF Trade Certificate/Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum of a Matriculation/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical,
National Technical Diploma/Certificate/Diploma in Construction
Formal Certificate/Diploma in Health Safety & Environment Management
Valid driver’s license required
Preferred
Competencies:
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory capacity
In-depth knowledge of construction site Health Safety & Environment requirements
Proven track record managing personnel resources onsite
Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to build relationships with sub-contractors and other service providers
Cost management expertise
Ability to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawings
Availability: Immediate or as soon as possible
