General Assistant – The Bed – Bluehills
Main Purpose of the Position:
To ensure that the store is kept clean at all times and to assist with general duties.
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Showroom windows / walls are cleaned
· Move furniture /bedding weekly to clean areas not in eyesight and hard to reach areas twice a week
· Maintenance of carpets/ titles by vacuuming or mopping all floors.
· Remove all smalls/items from shelves to dust and wipe shelves. Clean smalls/items before re-packing on cleaned shelves
· Maintenance of point-of-Sale areas by wiping desks with damp cloth and applicable cleaning materials as well as computers, telephones, and all equipment
· Provide assistance on truck arrivals
· Unwrap units/items delivered and placed in designated areas
· Careful handling of stock and /or company property to ensure no damages/ stains to products
· Spring clean kitchen by cleaning wall tiles, bins, microwaves and refrigerator weekly.
· Bins to be emptied daily and washed weekly
· Provide assistance with packaging wrapping of units/ items purchased. Items for collection are clearly marked.
· Lift heavy units/ items for loading in customer vehicles.
· Physical moving/ lifting of units / items of furniture as per request by customer or manager
· Fulfil manager’s requests to run errands pertaining to showroom
· Request an invoice from the staff/ manager before allowing any item that leaves the Store/ Showroom

Pay: R5 000,00 – R5 500,00 per month
