Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support management with accurate reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
- Reconcile accounts, review variances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and international financial regulations.
- Tracking the vendors’ invoices status and keeping copies of supporting documents.
- Ensure the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers and processing employee reimbursements.
- Handle accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets accounting.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
