Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation, repair, and maintenance of garage doors and related components. This role requires a blend of technical skills and customer service aptitude to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality service.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers.
- Perform glass installation and ensure proper sealing and functionality.
- Execute trim carpentry tasks to enhance the aesthetics of garage door installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to accurately complete installations and repairs.
- Sometimes conduct small electrical work related to garage door systems, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Carry out frame carpentry tasks for structural integrity during installations.
- Hang doors with precision, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in garage door installation and repair or a related field.
- Strong understanding of glass installation techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to work 40 hours sometimes more as needed. No weekend work.
