Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Expert (Functional Consultant) to lead and support end-to-end Odoo ERP projects — from requirements gathering to go-live and hyper care.
The ideal candidate will bring deep functional and technical expertise in Odoo (particularly production Module), along with proven experience delivering successful implementations in Ethiopia.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Functional & Technical Expertise
- Configure, customize, and optimize Odoo modules based on client requirements.
- Possess strong knowledge of Odoo’s framework, integrations, and IoT-enabled processes.
- Bridge the gap between business needs and technical development, ensuring scalable and robust solutions.
2. Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead all phases of the Odoo project lifecycle: scoping, design, build, testing, go-live, and support.
- Monitor deliverables, timelines, and milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide hyper care support post-implementation and deliver end-user training.
- Draft functional specifications for customizations and work with developers to execute them.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with clients to map business processes and design Odoo-based solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on best practices, workflows, and industry use cases (manufacturing, distribution, services, etc.).
- Prepare status reports for project managers, steering committees, and business owners.
4. Training & Change Management
- Conduct training workshops and prepare user manuals to ensure smooth adoption.
- Support organizational change management, helping teams adapt to Odoo-enabled process improvements.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, QA, and functional experts to ensure seamless delivery.
- Partner with finance, HR, supply chain, and manufacturing stakeholders to streamline operations.
6. Continuous Improvement & Multi-project Delivery
- Manage multiple Odoo implementations simultaneously, tracking progress across projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and adoption of new modules.
- Stay current with the latest Odoo versions, features, and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in Odoo ERP implementation.
- Strong expertise in Production and other modules.
- Solid technical understanding of Odoo architecture and integrations.
Preferred Qualifications (a Plus)
- Odoo certification or official training (XPs).
- Experience with manufacturing environments.
- Excellent documentation, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
