Fuel Attendant

The Fuel Attendant is responsible for managing and dispensing fuel for bakery delivery vehicles, generators, and other equipment. This role ensures safe fuel handling, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations while supporting smooth bakery operations

Responsibilities:

• Dispense fuel to bakery delivery trucks, vans, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain fuel storage tanks and fuel levels.
• Keep accurate records of fuel usage, deliveries, and inventory.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after fueling for leaks or safety concerns.
• Ensure fuel station and surrounding areas are clean and free from hazards.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Report fuel discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety issues to management.
• Assist with basic vehicle checks (oil, water, tire pressure) when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers during fuel deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Matric is essential.
• Previous experience in fuel handling, warehouse, logistics, or similar role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to fuel storage and handling.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
