Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freight Forwarder role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Freight Forwarder will coordinate international and domestic shipments, including booking cargo space, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include managing export processes, tracking freight movements, and communicating with carriers, agents, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. The role involves resolving transportation issues, maintaining accurate records in logistics systems, and supporting the safe handling of various cargo types, including hazardous materials where applicable. The Freight Forwarder will also work closely with internal teams to optimize logistics solutions and uphold service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Freight Forwarding and Freight Transportation, with experience coordinating multimodal shipments.
- Proficiency in Forwarding and Export operations, including documentation, customs procedures, and trade regulations.
- Customer Service skills focused on clear communication, problem-solving, and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Experience in international logistics, preferably within a global network or with diverse commodity types.
- Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics software and basic MS Office tools.
- Good command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
