The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment. The role provides technical guidance and supervision to the maintenance team, ensuring that preventative and corrective maintenance is executed to high standards of quality and safety. The position supports plant availability and production targets through effective planning, breakdown response, problem solving and continuous improvement of maintenance practices.
The Maintenance Foreman also ensures that maintenance systems, procedures and reporting requirements are adhered to while fostering a disciplined, accountable and safety-focused maintenance team.
The Maintenance Foreman will be appointed as the Competent Person for the ICE Meyerton plant in accordance with the General Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993.
