We are seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technologist to join a dynamic food production team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in food science and production processes, ensuring product quality, safety, and innovation in line with industry standards.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Oversee food production processes to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Conduct quality control checks and maintain accurate documentation of production activities.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and improve food products, recipes, and formulations.
- Monitor raw material usage, storage, and handling to maintain efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
- Train and mentor production staff on food safety practices and operational excellence.
- Support audits, inspections, and certification processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in food manufacturing.
- Work closely with management to align production goals with business objectives.
✅ Candidate Requirements
- Education: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in food production (manufacturing or processing environment).
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
