NOW HIRING – PREP ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR
Queen City Fresh Foods is seeking a motivated and dependable Prep Assistant Supervisor to join our production team.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:20 PM
(Some days may require additional hours based on production needs.)
Work Environment:
This position works extensively in a refrigerated food production environment.
- Operate vegetable processing equipment, including dicing and slicing machines
- Wash, prepare, and process fresh vegetables
- Perform hand slicing and other manual preparation tasks
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
- Complete USDA-required paperwork and production records
- Monitor and record product temperatures
- Maintain accurate lot code and traceability logs
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and food safety standards
- Follow GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP procedures, and company policies
- Assist with overseeing daily prep operations and supporting team members
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work in a refrigerated room (34°F–40°F) for extended periods
- Previous food manufacturing, food processing, or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to food safety, quality, and teamwork
