Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fleet Manager role based in Cairo. The Fleet Manager will oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, routing, and ensuring the timely availability of vehicles and equipment for events. Responsibilities include monitoring vehicle performance, coordinating maintenance and repairs, managing documentation and compliance with regulations, and optimizing fuel usage and operating costs. The role involves analyzing operational data to improve efficiency, collaborating with operations and production teams to align fleet resources with event timelines, and supervising drivers and logistics staff. The Fleet Manager will also maintain safety standards, manage incident reports, and support continuous improvement of fleet policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Oversee and manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate transportation logistics for media productions and events.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Schedule and supervise regular maintenance and repairs for all vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and other relevant vendors.
- Monitor fuel usage and implement measures to improve fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor the fleet management team to achieve high performance.
- Manage fleet expenses; reduce unnecessary expenses and increase fuel efficiency.
- Decide when to rent additional vehicles based on project needs and gets approval for Project Leader and Logistics Manager. Identify the most economical rental options in order to reduce cost
- Determine priority of work orders, plan, organize and schedule work flow of drivers, assuring the timely completion of work.
- Following up vehicle’s GPS.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, preferably in the media production or event planning industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience: 10 to 12 years of solid experience in Fleet Management, Must 6 years as a Fleet Manager within corporate or project-based operational environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
