Job Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the movement of company vehicles and drivers to ensure efficient daily operations in accordance with established schedules. The role focuses on maximizing fleet utilization, maintaining the highest safety standards, controlling operating costs, ensuring fleet readiness, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Plan and organize the daily movement of vehicles and drivers according to operational requirements.

·      Prepare daily transportation schedules and monitor their execution.

·      Supervise driver assignments and ensure adherence to operational plans.

·      Monitor vehicle movements and ensure timely departures and arrivals.

·      Coordinate with different departments to meet transportation and operational needs.

·      Ensure fleet readiness by monitoring preventive maintenance and repair activities.

·      Monitor fuel consumption and operating costs while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

·      Ensure all vehicle licenses, insurance policies, and technical inspections remain valid and up to date.

·      Prepare periodic reports on fleet operations, vehicle utilization, breakdowns, and fuel consumption.

·      Investigate transportation incidents and operational violations and implement corrective actions.

·      Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company operational policies.

·      Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.

 

Requirements

·      Bachelor's degree or a relevant technical .

·      4–5 years of experience in Transportation, Fleet, or Operations Management.

·      Previous experience managing drivers and company vehicles is preferred.

·      Ability to prepare operational and performance reports.

·      Good knowledge of GPS Tracking Systems.

·      Strong understanding of fleet management and preventive maintenance.
