Fleet Maintenance Inspector Jobs in Camperdown at NS Repair Centre
Job Overview: We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Inspector to track fleet trucks and ensure daily fleet maintenance and repairs run smoothly. You will monitor routes, watch safety video footage and check that trucks are road worthy.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Track Trucks: Use GPS software to monitor where trucks are and ensure they stay on schedule.
- Review Video: Check dashboard and security camera footage upon arrival at workshop.
- Inspect Vehicles: Conduct regular inspections on trucks to find and report any maintenance issues timeously.
- Assist Drivers: Be the main contact for drivers upon arrival and direct them to relevant workshop team
- Keep Records: Log daily trip data, truck checklists, and any safety issues.
Requirements:
- Experience working with logistics, trucking or dispatching.
- Comfortable using computers, GPS tracking software, and video playback systems.
- High attention to detail, inspection of trucks requires accuracy.
- Great communication and the ability to work under pressure.
- Basic understanding of truck safety and truck parts.
- Qualification in logistics management or related field.
- 5-10 years’ experience in heavy motor vehicle industry
Pay: R18 000,00 – R20 000,00 per month
