To ensure that all entries in the accounting and tax fixed asset register is complete; accurate and valid and that it is reconciled to the general ledger.
Position OutputsTo process accounting entries in the FAR to results in a complete; accurate; valid IFRS compliant Fixed Asset Register and tax asset register Preparation of a monthly asset roll forward schedule Preparation of monthly acquisition and disposal summaries with supporting documentation Capturing impairment and fair value adjustments to ensure completeness, accuracy and validity Capturing/updating SAP data for the annual asset verification Preparation of the reconciliation of FAR to GL.
Preparation of the register of demolitions Assisting the annual review of residual values and useful lives Ensure scheduling and accurate posting of the depreciation amounts Co-ordination of the bi-annual valuation of investment property and booking of the fair value adjustments Reconciliation of the Land Asset Register to the Fixed Asset register To ensure that all intangible assets recorded in the correct categories To run exception reporting for the Fixed asset module and to clear up exceptions To assist the regions to provide information around the regional asset register To prepare analysis and reporting on the asset register To clean up the data in the asset register by region and to group assets by subcategories
Tax asset register Preparation of the monthly reconciliation of the tax asset register to the FAR Maintenance of the schedule of capital gains tax of all disposals Preparation of a tax asset roll forward.
Qualifications and ExperienceBCom Degree or Advanced Diploma in accounting; 5 years in an asset management environment.CompetenciesStrategy & Sustainability Innovation
