Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Fitter and Boilermaker to join
our manufacturing team specialising in rubber moulding and mining wear linings.
You’ll fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain equipment and structures,
ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair large compression moulds for various rubber parts using CO2 welding.
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Fit, align, and assemble mechanical parts and systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
- Work with hydraulic systems (basic troubleshooting and assembly — advantageous).
- Maintain safety standards, quality control, and housekeeping in the workshop.
- Collaborate with the team on prototypes, press work, and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fitter / Boilermaker.
- Strong proficiency in CO2 welding.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems is a big plus.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work with hand/power tools.
- Physically fit for workshop conditions.
