Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various construction sites and facilities. Your expertise will ensure that fire suppression systems are installed according to safety standards, blueprints, and industry codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to contribute to safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems and piping layouts.
- Install fire sprinkler piping using various methods such as pipe threading and grooving.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe benders to assemble and fit components accurately.
- Measure materials and perform basic math calculations for accurate installation.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing fire sprinkler systems in compliance with ASME codes & standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols along with experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting and positioning heavy components safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements and understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to piping systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
