Job Title: Finish Blade Operator(GPS Experience Required)
Location: Casper / Shirley Basin Area – Wyoming
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Union
Reports To: Foreman / Superintendent
Position Summary
The Finish Blade Operator is responsible for operating motor graders to perform fine grading and finish work on construction and civil projects. This position requires experience using GPS machine control systems to achieve precise grade tolerances while maintaining a strong safety-focused work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate motor graders for finish grading and site preparation activities.
- Utilize GPS machine control systems to maintain accurate grade specifications.
- Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and project specifications.
- Perform road building, slope finishing, ditch work, and pad preparation.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Maintain safe operating practices around personnel and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with grade checkers, survey crews, and supervisors.
- Maintain strict adherence to all company safety protocols, site-specific safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of finish blade operating experience preferred.
- GPS machine control experience required.
- Experience with Trimble, Topcon, or Leica GPS systems preferred.
- Ability to finish grade to precise tolerances.
- Strong understanding of site grading and construction safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license required.
