Job Description:

The Financial Director is responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic financial direction of the organisation. This role involves managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The Financial Director works closely with senior management to support business growth, improve financial performance, and guide decision-making through accurate financial insights.

Key responsibilities include developing financial strategies, managing cash flow, overseeing audits, and ensuring efficient financial operations. The role also involves leading the finance team, implementing internal controls, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Overseeing financial reporting and analysis

Managing cash flow and working capital

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards

Leading audits and liaising with external auditors

Developing and implementing financial strategies

Monitoring and improving financial performance

Risk management and internal controls

Managing and mentoring the finance team

Supporting executive decision-making with financial insights

Job Specification:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in a senior financial role

Proven experience in financial management and strategic planning

Experience managing teams and financial operations

Skills and Competencies:

Strong financial and analytical skills

Excellent leadership and management abilities

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance

Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
