Company Description
Our client in Mining in Zimbabwe is looking for a Financial Controller
Work with the finance team to manage and improve financial performance of the
business and control the accounting operations.
Role Description
Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both
team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
• Preparing financial reports.
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to
current economic landscape.
• Monitoring internal controls.
• Overseeing and preparing report.
• Lead the month end financial closing with direct responsibility of controlling the
accounting operations for the region.
• Lead the regional budgeting processes.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring
compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluating and managing financial risks.
• Coordinating audit processes.
• Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates
an environment of trust and productivity.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company
assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree – BA/Finance/Economic/Mathematic/Statistics.
• ICA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• 9+ years proven accounting experience.
• 4+ years’ experience as financial controller or finance manager in multinational
organization is required.
• Experience in the Multinational Mining Services, Manufacturing or Construction
industry is required.
• Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
• Ability to use Oracle.
