About the Role
You will be responsible for the financial accounting function of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and effective financial support to operational management. The role requires an experienced accounting professional with strong financial acumen, the highest level of attention to detail and the ability to operate in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Monthly Management Accounts.
- Ensure general ledger integrity and accuracy.
- Perform journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Ensure Month End and Year End processes are completed within deadlines.
- Manage Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation Schedules
- Monitor and Manage Cash Flow.
- Manage Debtor collections and Creditor payments.
- Ensure compliance with Statutory Requirements – VAT, PAYE, Income Tax etc.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns
- Liaise with external Auditors
Qualifications and Experience
- B. Com Degree or Equivalent Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional Registration will be an advantage.
- Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing Environment will be advantageous.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication.
- The ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- High level of interpersonal skills to manage both debtors and creditors effectively.
