Oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational finance activities across the fashion retail business. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Finance Director and cross-functional leaders, ensuring strong financial governance, robust business insights, and data-driven decision-making to support profitable growth across retail stores, e-commerce, merchandising, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Consolidate financial results across business units (retail stores, online, wholesale).
  • Develop and present accurate financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses to the Financial Director.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards to monitor KPIs such as sell-through, margins, OPEX productivity, inventory turnover, and net sales.
  • Lead development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and communicate key drivers to senior management.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions (e.g., new store openings, pricing strategies, product mix optimization).
  • Partner with merchandising teams to analyze product profitability, markdown effectiveness, and seasonal planning.
  • Support the pricing strategy and discounting models to maximize margin while balancing competitiveness
  • Partner with merchandising and operations teams to optimize stock levels, margins, and sell-through rates.
  • Analyze store-level P&Ls, benchmarking performance and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue improvement.
  • Support banking relationships and financing requirements in coordination with the Financial Director .
  • Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and risk management policies.
  • Provide financial leadership during strategic initiatives such as brand expansion, supplier negotiations, and new market entry.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
  • 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with strong exposure to retail or fashion industry.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and inventory-driven environments.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
