Oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational finance activities across the fashion retail business. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Finance Director and cross-functional leaders, ensuring strong financial governance, robust business insights, and data-driven decision-making to support profitable growth across retail stores, e-commerce, merchandising, and supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Consolidate financial results across business units (retail stores, online, wholesale).
- Develop and present accurate financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses to the Financial Director.
- Develop and enhance dashboards to monitor KPIs such as sell-through, margins, OPEX productivity, inventory turnover, and net sales.
- Lead development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and communicate key drivers to senior management.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions (e.g., new store openings, pricing strategies, product mix optimization).
- Partner with merchandising teams to analyze product profitability, markdown effectiveness, and seasonal planning.
- Support the pricing strategy and discounting models to maximize margin while balancing competitiveness
- Partner with merchandising and operations teams to optimize stock levels, margins, and sell-through rates.
- Analyze store-level P&Ls, benchmarking performance and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue improvement.
- Support banking relationships and financing requirements in coordination with the Financial Director .
- Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and risk management policies.
- Provide financial leadership during strategic initiatives such as brand expansion, supplier negotiations, and new market entry.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with strong exposure to retail or fashion industry.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and inventory-driven environments.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
