Finance Clerk Jobs in Cape Town at ABSOLUTE PETS

Absolute Pets is a growing Pet Care Retailer and is looking for a Finance Clerk, with a focus on being an all-rounder within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Creditors Processing and Reconciliation:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
  • Prepare supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly.
  • Report account status and follow up on month-end invoices and statements to meet retail calendar deadlines.

ThinkTime Tickets:

  • Assist with weekly ticket clearing to support reporting timelines, including:
    • Reallocate tender errors in IQ, including cash and card transactions.
    • Obtain and validate documentation for card sales and sundry transactions.

General Finance Support & Administration:

  • Provide general finance and administrative support as required.

Qualifications and experience

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Diploma in Bookkeeping or equivalent
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Good Excel skills with the ability to use VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables
