SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a leading organisation in financial services/retirement funds sector.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
Act as financial custodian
- Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, and processes aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review compliance regularly and take corrective action. Maintain governance frameworks and signing authorities.
Manage the budgeting process
- Lead budgeting and forecasting of capital and operational expenses.
- Monitor costs against budget, provide variance analysis, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for committees.
- Compile annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
Stakeholder management and finance business partnering support to CFO and FM and Pension Administration Executive
- Support the CFO and FM with financial analysis, policy execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide performance insights and step in for the FM when required. Manage key banking relationships.
Provide financial governance and oversight for projects
- Ensure finance projects align with objectives and governance requirements.
- Track ROI, risks, and milestones, and ensure delivery within cost and time constraints.
Oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable and Cash Management
- Maintain accurate vendor records, monitor payments and debtor aging, oversee reconciliations, and ensure sufficient cash flow.
Manage Accounting processes
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, consolidations, and timely close-off periods.
Oversee Asset Management
- Maintain asset registers, ensure correct depreciation, and resolve escalated issues.
People Leadership
- Manage team capacity and performance, develop employees, and foster a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team.
Requirements:
- CA (SA) qualification
- At least 5 years job-related experience within a Financial Services institution, which should include at least 2 years’ experience in a strategic leadership role.
- Pension Fund Industry will be advantageous
- Corporate Governance policies and procedures
- Advanced Excel
