SUMMARY:
A well-established company in the East rand seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician (mechanical)
POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the Role:
Provide on-site technical support, maintenance and repairs using a mobile service van, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (required)
- 2+ years mechanical/technical experience
- Knowledge of tools, pumps, or hydraulics (advantageous)
- Valid Code 10/14 driver’s license with PDP
- Willing to travel extensively
- Able to work independently
- Physically fit (able to lift up to 35kg)
- Ability to engage effectively with customers and generate new business
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites for repairs, maintenance and calibration
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Conduct cold calling and build customer relationships
- Provide on-site technical support
- Complete job cards and service reports
- Manage stock and tools in the vehicle
- Ensure vehicle safety and maintenance
- Follow company procedures and safety standards
- Meet KPIs and deliver excellent customer service
