A 5-star, Big 5, family-run safari lodge is looking for a ð—™ð—œð—˜ð—Ÿð—— ð—šð—¨ð—œð——ð—˜!
POSITION INFO:
Nestled among the bushlands of the Manyoni Private Game Reserve and on the banks of the Msunduzi River, this luxe safari lodge is unlike anywhere else.
The ideal candidate has previous experience in a 5-star lodge environment, thrives in nature, values attention to detail, and takes pride in creating unforgettable safari moments for guests.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Lead daily game drives, delivering safe, informative, and memorable wildlife experiences
- Interpret animal behaviour, ecology, and the surrounding environment in an engaging and accessible way
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests at all times
- Track and locate wildlife using knowledge of the terrain and animal movement
- Maintain safari vehicles, equipment, and guiding standards
- Assist with lodge operations when needed, working closely with the wider team
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and build genuine connections with guests
- Uphold conservation principles and promote responsible tourism practices
Core Criteria:
- Experience in 5-star lodge environment
- NQF2 minimum
- Valid driver’s licence and PrDP
- First Aid certification
- Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation
- Confident communicator with a natural ability to host and engage
- Calm under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility
- Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments
- Passion for nature, people, and storytelling
