Our Bristol, Pennsylvania facility serves as the company’s primary operational hub, supporting external sales teams, customer service personnel, and customers throughout the region. As ECT continues to grow, we are seeking a proven operational leader to oversee this critical location.
Position Summary
In this new role, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and highly organized Facility Manager to oversee our Bristol, Pennsylvania operation. This position serves as the operational leader for a 50,000-square-foot distribution and production facility employing a small group of ten hardworking team members.
The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, safety programs, personnel training and certification, equipment maintenance, and operational support functions. This role will also provide leadership and direction to the Logistics Manager and Production Manager, ensuring alignment with company objectives, operational priorities, and customer expectations.
Due to the size and nature of the operation, this position requires a leader who is equally comfortable developing strategy and working alongside the team on the floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong servant leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for building disciplined, well-organized operations that drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
Safety is a core value at ECT. The Facility Manager will champion a safety-first culture, lead & maintain facility safety initiatives, and serve as an integral member of the facility and company’s Safety Committee. This individual will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting employee engagement in safety programs, supporting training and certification requirements, and maintaining a workplace where every employee returns home safely each day.
As a key leader within ECT multi-facility organization, the Facility Manager will collaborate with corporate leadership and other facility leaders to standardize best practices, develop team capabilities, maintain operational excellence, and support the continued growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage all facility operations, including warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, logistics, and material handling activities.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Logistics Manager and Production Manager.
- Develop a culture of accountability, teamwork, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain highly organized operations that maximize efficiency, productivity, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement process improvements to achieve operational goals.
- Collaborate with internal sales, customer service, production, and leadership teams to support company objectives.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor and provide hands-on leadership and support to the team.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion and lead a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
- Serve as an active member of the facility’s Safety Committee.
- Lead safety training, audits, monthly and ongoing inspections, investigations, and corrective action initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and applicable transportation and operational regulations.
- Promote employee engagement in safety programs and continuous safety improvement efforts.
- Maintain all required safety documentation, records, and reporting.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee inventory control processes, cycle counting programs, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Ensure efficient and accurate shipping, receiving, storage, and material handling activities.
- Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, workflow, and material movement processes.
- Support quality initiatives and maintain high standards of operational accuracy and customer service.
Personnel Development & Training
- Manage employee onboarding, training, certification, and ongoing team development programs.
- Ensure team members maintain required certifications and qualifications.
- Maintain records for forklift certifications, safety training, first aid qualifications, and other required operational certifications.
- Develop cross-training and planning initiatives to strengthen workforce flexibility and capability.
- Coach, mentor, and develop managers and employees through a servant leadership approach.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Oversee facility and shop support equipment, maintenance programs, including forklifts, material handling equipment, vehicles, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of inspections, repairs, and certifications.
- Ensure equipment and facilities remain safe, compliant, and operationally effective.
- Maintain maintenance records and manage maintenance-related budgets and expenditures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics operation.
- Proven experience leading safety programs and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrated servant leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations.
- Experience managing multiple operational functions and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain highly organized and efficient operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise-level software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Hands-on leadership style, excellent communicator with a willingness to actively engage in daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience within a light industrial manufacturing, tubular metal value add services, or production environment.
- Knowledge of USDOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). As alternate driver.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Experience managing a bonded warehouse facility.
