Position Summary
The Garment / Footwear / Fabric Inspector is responsible for conducting quality inspections during and after production to ensure products meet approved standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, monitoring corrective actions, and supporting consistent product quality across factories.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-line inspections, pre-production meetings, and final inspections of garments during and after production.
- Verify product quality against approved samples, technical specifications, and inspection standards.
- Check measurements, stitching, fabric quality, colors, trims, printing, embroidery, and overall workmanship.
- Conduct technical audits when required.
- Identify, record, and report defects or non-conformities using the standard report template in both French and English.
- Ensure packing, labeling, and carton markings comply with client requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to factories and internal management teams.
- Apply AQL standards and follow established inspection procedures.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify that improvements have been implemented effectively.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality regulations.
- Coordinate with production, technical, and quality teams as needed, demonstrating strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in garment, footwear, fabric inspection, and textile quality control.
- Good knowledge of garment, footwear, and fabric manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Familiarity with AQL inspection methods.
- Strong ability to identify defects and workmanship issues.
- Good communication and reporting skills in both French and English.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to factories when required.
