External Sales Representative Jobs in Cape Town at Timmdek

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits, measure client sites (using tape measure, calculate m²), and quantify their needs
  • Cold-call potential customers and follow up on leads and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Prepare quotes and drawings—you’ll receive training—to then email proposals to the prospects
  • Explain and demonstrate product features; apply solid knowledge of composite systems
  • Maintain an updated CRM and database of clients, opportunities, and interactions
  • Keep up with product updates and industry developments, staying ahead of competitors
  • Research, qualify, and pursue new leads, targeting architects, builders, contractors, developers, and homeowners and professionals alike
  • Close sales and meet monthly/quarterly targets
  • Track and report on performance metrics weekly, monthly, and quarterly
  • Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience (1 years) in external or field sales, ideally in construction or building materials.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel within Gauteng. Will have instances of Travel outside of Gauteng. Comfortable with site measuring and quoting.
  • Strong cold-calling, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, well-presented, organised, and results-driven.

Pay: R10 000,00 – R15 000,00 per month
