Expert Chemical Engineer Jobs in Johannesburg at Warrior Edge Projects
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Expert Chemical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist chemical engineering expertise, technical guidance, process optimization, and engineering support within a heavy industrial, power generation, manufacturing, or related environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert chemical engineering support to operational and project teams.
- Conduct process analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization studies.
- Develop and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and operating procedures.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
- Support commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare technical reports and present recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technical personnel.
Minimum RequirementsAcademic Qualification
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- External BTech / BEng Qualification not ratified by ECSA – Minimum 2 years relevant experience; or
- External Technical Diploma ratified by ECSA or Internal Diploma – Minimum 4 years relevant experience; or
- External BEng Qualification ratified by ECSA or Internal BEng Degree.
Additional Requirements
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) will be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of chemical engineering principles, process optimization, and industrial operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in engineering software applications.
