Executive Strategic Advisor

This is a 12 – month contract

Our client is seeking a heavyweight Strategic Card & Payments Expert to steer the financial and operational integrity of Project Card—a major transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Strategic Advisory: Provide executive-level guidance across card, merchant acquiring, scheme processing, and settlement structures.
• 
  Financial Integrity & Revenue Assurance:Oversee and validate auditable outcomes across card finance, billing, interchange, Net Interchange Revenue (NIR), and revenue-share models.
• 
  Control Oversight: Challenge solution designs and processing assumptions to ensure robust reconciliation integrity between finance and reporting.
• 
  Risk Mitigation: Identify material processing gaps, control weaknesses, and reconciliation exposures, delivering sustainable remediation plans.
• 
  Stakeholder Enablement: Guide and upskill executive stakeholders, architecture, and delivery teams on leading card practices.

Minimum Requirements

• 
  Industry Experience: Extensive, senior-level experience within the cards and payments ecosystem.
• 
  Domain Expertise: Proven track record in card finance, complex reconciliations, merchant acquiring, and card schemes (Visa/Mastercard).
• 
  Technical & Risk Acumen: Deep understanding of revenue assurance, settlement flows, and establishing financial controls within a major programme lifecycle.
• 
  Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to challenge technical assumptions and influence executive-level stakeholders.
