Role Description The Executive Housekeeper is a full-time hybrid role based in Cairo, Egypt, with some flexibility for work from home on planning, reporting, and administrative tasks. On-site, the Executive Housekeeper oversees daily housekeeping operations, ensures guest rooms and public areas meet high cleanliness and presentation standards, and manages laundry services to maintain quality and efficiency. The role includes supervising, scheduling, and training housekeeping and laundry staff, implementing SOPs, and monitoring inventory and usage of cleaning supplies and linen. The Executive Housekeeper works closely with front office and maintenance teams to respond to guest requests, resolve issues, and support smooth hotel operations, while maintaining records, reports, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong housekeeping and Laundry management skills, including oversight of linen care, cleaning processes, and quality control.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, and guests, and for clear documentation and reporting.
- Excellent Customer Service capabilities to handle guest requests, resolve concerns, and support a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Robust Organization Skills for scheduling staff, managing inventory, planning workloads, and prioritizing tasks across multiple areas.
- Experience in staff Training, coaching, and performance feedback to build a reliable, efficient housekeeping and laundry team.
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role, preferably in a mid- to large-scale property.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in hospitality, including use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site operational leadership in Cairo with remote administrative coordination.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
