Fellowship Overview
We invite passionate and self-driven individuals to apply for a part-time internship (4 days a week) as part of our Tatu Executive Fellowship. This role will provide hands-on experience in client support and engagement, with opportunities for on-the-job learning and involvement in real projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Promotion: Enhance Tatu Collective’s visibility among target audiences by managing our digital presence and preparing content (including LinkedIn, proposals, websites, pitch decks, etc.).
- Research & Analysis: Conduct desktop research to develop funder profiles, assess funding opportunities, and inform donor and thematic briefings.
- Documentation & Reporting: Draft internal documents such as donor profiles, assessment reports, and proposed scopes of work.
- Communication: Produce a monthly funding tracker and a quarterly newsletter to share insights with Collective members and clients.
- Scheduling: Assist with scheduling interviews and meetings, ensuring efficient communication among team members and clients.
- General Admin Support: Provide general administrative support as requested to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Self-motivated and proactive with project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about African ecology and natural resource management
- Proficiency in social media and website editing
- Relevant experience or studies in communications, marketing, ecology, biology, or social sciences
- Interest in philanthropy and financing for environmental initiatives
- Previous experience in a consulting environment or similar role within the conservation or development sectors
- Understanding of diverse cultural contexts across Africa, particularly in conservation efforts
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation
- Fellows will receive between $500 and $1,000/month and will be reimbursed for travel, accommodation, and meal expenses related to assignments. Fellows are expected to provide their own laptop, phone, and internet coverage, and are responsible for their own tax obligations.
