Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a lively daycare environment during evening hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages learning and exploration
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily experiences
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children effectively
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining patience and enthusiasm
