Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate flooring estimates
- Perform digital take-offs and measurements using PlanSwift
- Apply Callidus (Carpet Software) for carpet and flooring-specific estimating
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure estimates align with project requirements
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, and overhead
- Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings
- Maintain organized records of estimates and revisions for future reference
- Provide timely updates and reports to management on bid progress and outcomes
Requirements
RequirementsEssential Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within flooring or interior finishes
- Strong familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and project workflows
- Proficiency in PlanSwift (easy-to-use estimating software)
- Proficiency in Callidus (carpet and flooring estimating software)
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
