Requirements
- Relevant three (3) year tertiary qualification, in related field
- Five (5) years’ experience in a public safety command centre/
public safety call centre / public safety operational environment
or appropriately similar role
- Supervisory skills
- In depth understanding of SAP and Microsoft Client / server
platform and web based Solutions
- Competency in two official languages of the Western Cape
(one of which is English)
- Information Management Knowledge
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Driver’s License (Code B or EB)
- No Criminal Record
Key Performance Areas
- To provide professional guidance and support in managing
and supervising the 24-hour operational capability of a shift
in the EPIC Command Centre.
- Control and coordinate the administrative function required
to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the EPIC
Command Centre.
- Control and coordinates workflow processes and output level
of the operational staff.
- Ensuring effective and efficient communication through
establishing processes and systems and engaging role –
players to report on deficiencies.
- Managing training and skills development and the transfer
of skills and knowledge.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO THE POST:
- Required to work shifts within a 24-hour command centre
environment
- May be required to work standby and overtime
- Dealing with individuals exposed to high stress situations
