Environmental Officer
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is seeking a qualified and dedicated Environmental Officer to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma, BTech, or BSc Degree in Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, or related qualification at NQF Level 6 with a minimum of 240 credits
- Minimum two (2) years’ relevant experience in environmental management
- Proven knowledge and experience in:
- Waste management
- Incident management
- Environmental legislation and compliance requirements
- Attended recognised training on the Implementation of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems
- Experience within industrial, construction, engineering, or infrastructure environments will be advantageous

Skills and Competencies:
- Sound understanding of environmental management systems and compliance standards
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Ability to monitor and implement environmental control measures on site
- Strong incident reporting and investigation skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
- Ability to conduct environmental inspections and audits
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental reporting systems
