Job Description
LENOZA GROUP is seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Officer to support tender-based infrastructure and development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, implementing environmental management plans, and monitoring project activities in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Implement and manage Environmental Management Plans (EMPs)
- Conduct site inspections and environmental audits
- Identify environmental risks and recommend mitigation measures
- Prepare environmental reports and documentation
- Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure adherence to environmental legislation throughout project lifecycle
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or related field
- Professional registration (or in progress) with a recognized body
- Proven experience in a similar role on infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance and legislation in South Africa
