Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Antananarivo for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist. The role involves creating, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs with a strong emphasis on compliance, occupational health, and environmental safety. Responsibilities include conducting workplace safety assessments, facilitating safety training, and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization. The specialist will also ensure compliance with relevant regulations and implement environmental health initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices and standards
- Skills in Health & Safety and promoting consistent occupational health practices
- Experience in Workplace Safety procedures and assessments
- Ability to develop and deliver effective Safety Training programs
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fostering a culture of safety
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field
- Professional certifications in EHS or Occupational Safety are a plus
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail to address safety concerns effectively
