Key responsibilities include:
*Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and adhere to all safety requirements, policies and procedures of the company to ensure a safe working environment.
*Adhere to all the relevant food safety requirements, policies and regulations to ensure products are safe for human consumption.
*Perform daily safety checks on the equipment to ensure all safety features are functioning properly, injuries to people and damage to equipment and products are prevented.
*Ensure all lifting equipment is safe to use and fully functional. Report any malfunction or issues that need to be addressed to the maintenance personnel prior to use.
*Adhere to the Lock out Tag out (LOTO) requirements and ensure the equipment is locked out and tagged out prior to commencing any work on the equipment.
*Perform daily work routines in accordance with the operational excellence requirements, processes and tools.
*Enable transfer of technical knowledge and skills to work with production and technical to improve the overall effectiveness of the equipment. Report on training impact.
*Create works orders on JDE software and electrical drawings on E-PLAN software.
*Prepare wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for new equipment.
*Be involved in the selection of complete hardware and design, including the development of network architectures for Simatic PLC and HMI systems and PLC/ HMI programming and creation
*Reading and interpretation of electrical drawings
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
*Grade 12
*Electrical or Electronic BTech Degree (N6)
*Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment2+ Years’
*PLC and HMI programming and creation
*Reading and interpretation of electrical drawings
*Tools and testing equipment knowledge
*Hardware diagnostics knowledge
*Electrical knowledge
*Analytical and Fault-finding skills
*Problems solving skills
*Soldering and wiring skills
*Coaching and mentoring skills
