Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
Reports to: Project Manager/s with dotted line to General Manager
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
● 2-3 years Solar PV and backup installation experience
● Electrician qualification (Red Seal)
● Valid Code B driver’s license
● Must be physically fit, able bodied, and not abuse any substances or narcotics (Including, but not limited to cannabis) – will need to pass medical assessment regularly
● Ability to pay attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
● Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills (Including verbal and written skills)
● Good organizational skills and able to work with company tools and resources respectfully and in a clean manner.
● Proficiency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape (read, write, and speak)
● Required to work outside normal working hours, on standby, during emergencies and planned overtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Must be able to perform electrical work, repairs and maintenance independently, and as part of a team, with the ability to work under pressure
● Installation of smart metering equipment and automation equipment
● Installation of lights and solar systems
● Execute installation plans and procedures to provide a high-quality and efficient electrical service
● Ensure all health and safety procedure and regulations are followed while working on site(s)
● Perform specific tasks associated with the operation of heavy and/or specialised equipment during electrical installations, repair and maintenance activities
● Perform troubleshooting/ fault finding and repairing of electrical systems
● Adhere to procedural administrative requirements, record keeping, and reporting deadlines associated with each project
● Respond to urgent/ unscheduled work requests
● Assisting with stock take of products
● Collections and deliveries on behalf of the Company using the Company vehicle
● Cleaning and constant upkeep of the Company vehicle
