Electrical Technician

Senwes, a leading agricultural company, is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Engineering and Property Assets Department.

The purpose of this role is to assist in the implementation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and processes to ensure electrical reliability, optimised energy usage, integration of renewable energy solutions, and enhanced plant automation through PLC and SCADA control.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and projects.
• Supporting capital and maintenance projects, including site evaluations, contractor coordination, and project administration.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems.
• Contributing to renewable energy projects, including system monitoring and optimisation.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and conducting inspections where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 – 4 years’ experience in a consulting firm and/or industrial environment.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems will be advantageous.
