Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. Duties
- Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during all operations.
- Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within renovation or new construction projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines in accordance with NEC standards and local regulations to prevent hazards during installation or maintenance activities.
- Assist with schematic reading and frame carpentry tasks when necessary for project completion.
- Contribute handyman skills for minor repairs or adjustments needed on-site during project phases.
Qualifications
- Valid Electrical Journeyman license or certification demonstrating completion of required apprenticeship hours and experience.
- Proven industrial electrician experience with an understanding of electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and safety procedures.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in automation environments is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Ability to perform low voltage wiring tasks as well as high voltage system installations safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly on complex electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reading schematics accurately.
- Previous construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with schematic reading and framing carpentry is a plus.

Pay: $43.00 – $47.00 per hour
