This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge simulator systems used across mining, military, and emergency services industries worldwide.

A global leader in advanced operator training simulators, delivering highly specialised solutions to demanding, safety-critical industries. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for sophisticated simulator products. Working closely with mechanical designers, R&D, and production teams, you’ll take projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and manufacturability.
Education:
- BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 4–5 years’ relevant engineering experience
- At least 1 year proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
- Experience in a niche or specialised manufacturing environment (advantageous)
- Exposure to Autodesk Inventor (advantageous)
- Solid understanding of electrical system design and integration
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings
- Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards (e.g. CSA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical systems for advanced simulator products
- Collaborate closely with the mechanical design team throughout the design lifecycle
- Participate in concept and design reviews, presenting compliant and practical electrical solutions
- Identify and engage suppliers on components, technologies, and innovations
- Support electrical component integration and assess system outcomes, enabling fast course correction where required
- Actively participate in twice-weekly R&D meetings and provide project updates
- Work closely with Production Control to ensure electrical items are ordered timeously
