E-Commerce Product Photographer Jobs in Johannesburg at Value Co (Pty) Ltd
Value Co E-Commerce are looking for a talented and creative E-commerce Photographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to create product photography that will captivate customers and drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute product photoshoots for full range of home furnishings, general merchandise and other e-commerce products
- Collaborate with operations and marketing to ensure the proposed requirements and standards in terms of image, style, size, scene, and layout are well communicated and produced in line with the brand guidelines
- Use Capture One software to complete online real-time shooting
- Classify and filter and crop images for easy-editing
- Edit, retouch, and optimize images for web and print
- Maintain an organized image library and archive images on company network system
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement changes as necessary
- Ensure all product images accurately represent the product
- Manage and maintain photography equipment
- Preparation and clean-up of props and shooting site
- Proven work experience as a professional photographer, preferably in an e-commerce setting
- Proficient in operating a complete set of e-commerce shooting equipment such as SLR camera, professional photography fill light, softbox, still life shooting table independently completing lighting, scenery, and scene matching work.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product photography
- Proficiency in photo-editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of lighting, composition, and other photography techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
Skills & Competency Requirements
- B Comm and/or Degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field is preferred
- Have professional experience in still life photography of e-commerce products, familiar with the shooting rules and shooting logic of cross-border e-commerce platforms.
- Proficient in SLR camera operation and professional lighting skills, able to independently complete the entire set of e-commerce still life shooting process.
- Must be proficient in using Capture One (C1) photography online colour correction software, and be able to independently complete online shooting, colour calibration, and image batch processing.
- Strong comprehension ability, smooth communication, able to quickly grasp the operation shooting ideas and modification suggestions, and efficiently cooperate to adjust the shooting effect.
- Familiar with multi-angle shooting of goods, white background pictures, scene pictures, detail pictures, size reference pictures and other commonly used shooting forms in e-commerce.
- Have the basic aesthetic ability of pictures, and have a good grasp of product texture, colour reproduction, and picture composition.
- Can communicate in English on a daily basis.
Pay: R10 000,00 – R15 000,00 per month
